From this page, I derived the following formula of inflation... (confirm it too, but i used the same in my assignment)

Inflation rate = Change in CPI / CPI of the last year * 100

Where,

            Change in CPI = Current year’s CPI – Last year’s CPI


Inflation Rate = Change in GDP / GDP of the last year * 100
